What protocol are you actually running?
One of the real problems in sauna research is that nobody agrees on what a sauna session is.
The Kuopio data used Finnish dry sauna at around 80°C. Sessions of roughly 15 minutes. Multiple rounds in some cases. But the published papers are not always precise on duration, rounds, or cooling intervals. The dose is partially inferred.
In practice the variation is enormous. Temperature ranges from 60°C to over 100°C depending on culture and facility. Session length from 10 minutes to an hour. Frequency from once a week to daily. Steam versus dry. Cooling or no cooling. Pre or post exercise.
This matters because if the benefits are dose-dependent - and the Laukkanen data strongly suggests they are - then protocol specifics are not a minor detail. They are the variable.
So this is a genuine ask. What are you running? Temperature, duration, frequency, dry or steam, cooling protocol, timing relative to exercise or sleep. As much detail as you have.
The goal is to start building a real picture of what protocols the Steam Collective community is actually using. That data, even informally collected, is more current and more diverse than most of what exists in the literature.
